Jim graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in communication studies. In the interim between college and joining MidWestOne Investment Services in 2016, he was a professional baseball pitcher for 14 years; a nomadic career that landed him to live and play in seven different countries.
Currently Jim works closely with John Evans, Dirk Ockerlander, Brian Ties and Demetrius Levantini to address the needs of the Iowa City area clients, and particularly enjoys helping clients build an overall financial plan. Jim started in the Financial Services industry in 2016 when he joined MidWestOne Investment Services. He holds his Series 6 and 63 Securities Registrations through LPL Financial.
Jim, wife Laura, and toddler son Jack moved into a property surrounded by timber in the fall of 2018, and by necessity, has added ‘weekend warrior lumberjacking’ to his list of hobbies alongside guitar, woodworking, mountain biking and sports.
