Tony Lyon

Tony graduated from ISU with a BS in Agronomy. After graduating he spent his first 20 years working in ag.retail, starting as in agronomy sales and ending his ag. career as a location manager. In 2001 he made a career change and got his license to sell investments working out an office in Grundy Center. In 2006, First State Bank in Conrad, Iowa hired him as an investment representative, and he later passed the series 65 exam to become an investment advisor.
Working with his clients and getting to know them personally is one of the most satisfying aspects of his position with MidWestOne Investments. Knowing his clients allows Tony to help them determine financial goals and consider available options. He challenges himself to help his clients make their money work for them, rather than having to work for their money. He does this by educating clients on the ups and downs of the many types of investment products available to help make an informed decision as to which product best fits their needs. Tony considers his responsibility to maintain integrity and honesty in helping clients make their financial decisions.
He has been married to his wife Tina for 37 years. They enjoy being outdoors activities such as hiking, canoeing, camping and like to travel to visit the grandkids when they get the time. They have a son who is an ag loan officer, a daughter who is a doula, and six grandkids. Most of their volunteer time is spent at a local church.
