The anger of Mother Nature continues into March. As we endure this blast of cold and a few more inches of snow in the forecast, my hope is this is a parting shot. Better temperatures and Spring-like weather on the horizon. I do hope it comes gently though, because the river banks might not be able to hold a speedy melt.
International Women’s Day is this week and not coincidentally, my mom’s birthday is this week. The link this week addresses the specific challenges that women face in the retirement planning process. But don’t think men can’t learn from this link also. My wife is younger than I am, and then when you read some of these statistics, it will definitely impact how we plan for our eventual transition out of the work force.

I am sure I will remind you once or twice more, but you have about five or six weeks until Federal Income Tax returns are due. That also means you can still make 2018 contributions to IRAs and 529s if you haven’t filed yet and haven’t maxed out yet.
